Summary0002721: tweaks to the extension manager
Description
  1. The extension manager is intended for end users. There is no need for them to see the examples. Those should be presented to developers only. See 0003607
  2. If I make the extension manager window bigger, more icons should be displayed. See 0002333
  3. when entering the page with more information about the extension, there is no obvious back button. We need one. see first screenshot. See 0002191
  4. We should keep statistics for each extension and use the same display as we use for slicer (download.slicer.org/stats). See 0002778
  5. There is no obvious way to get to the description pages from the page with the installed extensions. See second screenshot. See 0003608
  6. I would like a subscription method: When I install a new version of Slicer, it should offer to install all the extensions that I had already. Firefox does it. Keep in mind, that at any given time I have 4 to 6 different versions of slicer on my machine. See 0002779

Regarding statistics, it would be good if we had an automatic 'check for updates' option that queried the web site. We could record the number of times (and the source IP geolocation) of these connections in order to have a sense of how many time slicer is being used in the real world. This is something we've always wanted but never had available.
