Summary0003497: Volume rendering of label maps is black (VTK GPU Ray Casting on OSX)
Description

Slicer version used to report this bug: 4.3.1-2013-11-11

Steps to reproduce:
1) Download any sample data set
2) In the Editor Module, create a label map for the data set
3) In the Volume Rendering Module, turn on the volume rendering of the label map (it currently should be blank). For method, choose VTK GPU Ray Casting.
4) Go back to Editor and edit the label map.

  • At first, no rendering appears at all. Turning or zooming or panning the volume makes the rendering appear. Once it appears, it updates in real time as edits are made to the label map.
  • Instead of displaying the label's color, the volume rendering is black.
  • The normal color of the label is restored if the rendering method is changed to VTK CPU Ray Casting.
