Summary0002109: Edit properties in Data module does not switch to the correct object
Description

Right-click on a MRML node in the Data module in the tree, select "Edit properties..." => The correct module is opened, but not the selected object is selected.

The problem is reproducible with the latest nightly release (Slicer-4.1.0-2012-05-20-win-amd64.exe).

This is addressed by the Subject hierarchy. Thanks Csaba for your work on this.

To verify:

  • Go to SampleData, load MRHead twice. You will have MRHead and MRHead_1

  • Go to SH module:

    • Right click on the scene. Create new Subject.
    • Dnd the two volumes into the subject

    => You can know do "Right click -> Edit" on each volume and the correct volume is selected.

If the Data module will just switch to the node's owner/editor module then we should either remove the menu or rename it to something like "Switch to module...".
