Summary	0000614: loadig volumes resets the view, sets FG and BG in slice nodes
Description	From Demian Wassermann & Ron: I think that this is a good comment: 3) One issue she ran into is that although she was putting the slice plane into "Reformat", there are certain operations that will quietly switch it back. I've seen this in the codebase, that some operations will reset the mode if a slice is in one of the canonical orientations. I'm not sure why this exists, but it might be useful to have an ability to lock that out. Like when we're loading a volume, it would be good if it doesn't reset the whole views and sets the foreground-background-label nodes
