Summary0004336: Cleaning up and consolidating the Models module interface
Description

The Models module interface is extremely confusing to use. A couple examples are:

  • Clipping Enabled checkbox separated from clipping option widget
  • Colors/Opacity/Width/Representation kind of all over the place and not well categorized
  • Useless option in Lighting (Shading)
  • Scalar options are at the bottom, while pretty important (compared to Materials and Lighting)
  • A lot of options could be hidden based on other options values (no need for line width when no wireframe, etc...)
Additional Information

Could be interesting to include 2d view opacity option and smooth clipping option when thinking about a new design:
