Description

I'm getting an error when trying to open the nightly build:
fernando @ fernandodell ~/Downloads/Slicer-4.7.0-2016-11-13-linux-amd64
?? $ ? ./Slicer
/home/fernando/Downloads/Slicer-4.7.0-2016-11-13-linux-amd64/./bin/SlicerApp-real:
error while loading shared libraries: libitkhdf5_cpp.so.1: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory

I tried creating a symlink, but got the same results:
fernando @ fernandodell ~/Downloads/Slicer-4.7.0-2016-11-13-linux-amd64/lib
?? $ ? ln -s libitkhdf5.so.1 libitkhdf5_cpp.so.1

It happened also with Friday's nightly. The stable version works fine.

Are there any updates on this issue? I have recently encountered the same problem. Using SlicerNightly package in SL7. Thanks.

I am having the exact same problem on my machine (Ubuntu 16.04).

To follow up on this, it is a regression in the ITK build system. A preliminary patch is available here http://na-mic.org/Mantis/view.php?id=4301

I will raise the issue on the ITK devel list.
