Summary0004283: Not possible to export surface created in Segment Editor
Description

In the legacy Editor, when surface was created, it was in the scene, and could be saved. In Segment Editor, creation of the surface does not expose the result in Save Data.

There are two options:

  1. Change master representation to closed surface and save the scene (master representation is saved to disk, all other representations are computed from master)
  2. Export segments to model node. See http://wiki.slicer.org/slicerWiki/index.php/Documentation/Nightly/Modules/Segmentations#How_to. Currently segments can only be exported to models one by one.

Conversion is available by two clicks in Data module / Subject hierarchy: right-click on the segmentation node and click "Export visible segments to models".
