The three sliders show also negative values when the length is first increased and then decreased.

I don't think it is fixed in the nightly, the issue is that by default the sliders use the "application" min max. They should not.
To fix it, the unitAwareProperties property of qMRMLSliderWidget should not have the MinimumValue and MaximumValue (http://www.slicer.org/slicerWiki/index.php/Documentation/Nightly/Developers/Units)
