Summary0002973: cannot type small numbers into the Volume spacing field
Description

For the mouse imaging project David Little needs to use images of small things (like 0.01 mm spacing) but it's not possible to type the numbers into the Image Spacing field.

Steps To Reproduce

Load any volume
Go to Volumes module
Open Volume Information
Try to type in 0.01

Would it make sens to disable to live update while typing. It was causing issue for a lot of people. What about validating the entry when "Enter" is pressed ?

Hmm. still doesn't work for the original use case :/

Try the following. Goal is to change the spacing to 0.01 in all dimensions.

  • download MRHead
  • go to Volumes module, Information fields
  • type 0.01 in first Image Spacing field (so far, so good)
  • type 0.01 in second Image Spacing field - BUG: first field is reset to 0.00

@Julien: In CTK master, test related to "ctkUtilsTester::testSignificantDecimals" is failing. See https://github.com/commontk/CTK/issues/351

I also notice that the fix you propose belong to the topic "ctkValueProxy", as you just suugested to me, we will discuss this during today's hangout.
