Summary0000276: Slicer3 does not compile with gcc 4.3.1
Description

There are multiple compilation errors in the dependent modules of Slicer3 (possibly, in the Slicer code as well, but I have not gotten that far yet), which prevent it from being compiled with gcc 4.3.1. The packages where problems appear are (at least) ITK 3.6, IGSTK. ITK has been fixed for gcc 4.3.1 in the cvs, but will not be fixed in 3.6. Some of the problems can be fixed by including appropriate header files like string.h and stdlib.h.

Additional Information

gcc 4.3.1 is default in OpenSUSE 11.0

Bill reports that slicer builds with 4.3 - does 4.3.1 have new issues or can we close this?
