Hi,

Thank you for contacting Parallels Support. My name is Victor and I am taking ownership of this ticket. I appreciate you taking time to share with us detailed description of the issue with the Problem Report ID. From what it appears, the X Server crashes on the Linux virtual machine when running a multiple test that involves GL.

Moving forward, Parallels Desktop supports Open GL, issues that may arise that involves GL Support may be resolved by reinstalling Parallels Tools which is a virtualization driver to enable the full funtionality of a virtual machine. I wish to recommend reinstalling Parallels Tools and rerun the asssesment afterwards.

  1. Run Parallels Desktop and select Virtual Machine (Apple Menu Bar) > Reinstall Parallels Tools
  2. Enter Terminal and run SUDO > Type Admin Password and hit on Enter
  3. Navigate to cd /media/cdrom/
  4. Drag and drop the "Install" file to the Terminal and hit Enter
  5. Follow the directions by hitting on Next/Enter/Return
  6. After successful Reinstallation of Parallels Tools, please rerun the assessment

Your response is greatly appreciated. Should you have any other issues involving Parallels Desktop, please let us know and we will be with you the soonest possible time.

Based on the resolution that has been sent to you, this ticket will be placed in the "Pending confirmation by customer" status.
If this ticket has not been resolved to your satisfaction, please feel free to reply to this ticket within the next 14 days and we will reopen it for you.

Your opinion is valuable to us, please fill in the survey which will be sent to you automatically as I change the status of your ticket. Parallels takes your feedback very seriously and each survey is reviewed

carefully to identify and act on opportunities for improvement.

We appreciate your time and consideration.

Best regards,

Hi Anton,

Details leading to the problem have been included in the initial report. As explained, I wasn't able to come up with a simple program I could provide you so that you can reproduce the issue.

See http://www.na-mic.org/Bug/view.php?id=2624#c6502

That said, you could compile our application and run the program causing trouble.

Prerequisites:

Step to reproduce:

$ cd /path/to/Slicer-Superbuild-Release/Slicer-build
$ /path/to/cmake-2.8.9-Linux-i386/bin/ctest -R qMRMLLayoutManagerTest3; /path/to/cmake-2.8.9-Linux-i386/bin/ctest -R qMRMLLayoutManagerTest3

Let me know if you have any questions,

Hello Jean-Christophe,

We have created internal request to our Development Team in a separate system to continue investigating this issue, and regarding this we will need to close the ticket in this system.

Please note that it does not mean that we stopped working on it, the investigation will go internally. In case quick solution/workaround becomes available or we need any additional details, we will reopen this ticket or create a new one for you to deliver news. No additional actions required from your side.

The Developers Team will work with the problems ahead and decide whether a problem is corrected in the next update or patch is supposed to be included into a new major version of the product. Once update is ready we publish it on our site, you may subscribe on our notifications at http://www.parallels.com/mailinglists/subscribe/
