Summary0002553: Need QtTesting.dll
Description

Dear Slicer Developer,

I have successfully build all the library and project of Slicer 4 with 0 error or warning. However when click start SlicerReal-App it need QtTesting.dll?

How i can find this QtTesting.DLL?

Why in Slicer4 binary it doesn't need QtTesting.dll

Is this library available inside the folder:

C:\path\to\Slicer-Superbuild\CTK-build\QtTesting-build{Release, Debug} ?

If not, try to open the associated solution file:

C:\path\to\Slicer-Superbuild\CTK-build\QtTesting-build\QtTesting.sln

and build the project. Make sure to choose either Debug or Release to match the initial configuration type you chose.

I would expect the build of QtTesting library to fail ...

Make also sure the length of the path you build Slicer in isn't too long.

Thanks Jcfr, i have found QtTesting.dll and copied all the dll from build to ../slicer-build/bin/debug/.

The program has no error and when i start the debug process nothing appear, i have wait around 4 hours but the application of Slicer not appear on the screen? do you have any idea what happen? . i have tried to download prebuilt binary installer for slicer 4 and it works, it only need around 1 menit to display the slicer application.

Many thanks to your reply, i'm looking forward for your answer and other member who face same problem.

Regards,
Hoirul

Out of curiosity, did you try to build both Release and Debug in the same build tree ?

If yes, I would suggest to delete your build tree and re-build from scratch.

Removing Slicer settings could also be a good thing to do. It should be located in a folder similar to this one: C:\Users\kitware\AppData\Roaming\NA-MIC

Nice, it works now, thanks a lot JCFR(Administrator) for your excellent solution.
I'm really appreciate it.

Now I'm struggle to deal with VMTK in Slicer

Since the issue specific to QtTesting doesn't occur anymore. I will considered this issue as "closed".

Make sure to create a different issue to capture the problem specific to VMTK. That said, since VMTK is not built-in Slicer4, I am not to understand the exact context of this new problem.

Thanks
Jc
