Summary0002476: Loading Data with Long Filename Forces Slice Views to Resize Very Small
Description

I load data having a large filename, such as the following:

USVolume_20110205_DataSet2_8cmSet4_median3x3_6Slice,USImage0012_2,54Spacing_Y0,2222_FiducialReg.mhd

This causes the module panel to greatly expand in width. If I then resize the width of the module panel so that it is not taking up most of my screen, the module panel jumps back to the large width as soon as my mouse cursor moves over one of the image slice viewers. This makes the slice viewer panel almost unusable when the module panel is in the docked position, because the slice viewer panel is forced to shrink in width to make room for the expanded module panel. This problem happens regardless of what module is currently active.

A workaround for this problem is to undock the module panel, which prevents shrinkage of the slicer viewer panel. However, the module panel is still forced to hold a large width.

Additional Information

I attempted to attach the example file mentioned above before I noticed that only 1 file can be attached (therefore I cannot include the corresponding RAW).

It seems I cannot deselect the file upload once I have specified a file, so I am still including the mhd file.

I just noticed I can continue attaching files one by one. So both RAW and mhd files of the example are attached now.

Hi - I believe this is the same issue that was fixed in revision 20743. Can you re-test with a newer version?

Hi, yes I just finished updating and the problem has been fixed.

The module panel still enforces a minimum width when moving the cursor over a Slice Viewer, but the width is less than before, so the viewers remain usable.

FYI - I don't have the privileges needed to close this issue
