Description

One situation where this is needed is when the DB model needs to be suspended and resumed when new DICOM object is added to the database, so that the view can be refreshed automatically.

Andrey, let me know if this fixes your issues. I am able to do an insert to the database directly and have it show up in the tree view. The only issue is that the tree collapses but I can't think of any way around that.

Steve, I checked -- this works!

If you don't think tree collapse is a problem (I don't), could you please merge with the trunk and then we can close this issue?
