Summary0002378: Grow cut crashes Slicer
Description

I have a nrrd file with a 3D US data set. I create a label file with several gestures. When running growcut, slicer crashes.

The data and scene are in rons examples, folder 2012-07-27... the scene is called ...with-label

I believe this is related to the auto-extent calculation. I also noticed that GrowCut crashes with a single slice volume.

Jim, can you set up the filter to clamp the calculation to the size of the volume?

I looked at this a bit yesterday. I ended up cleaning up the GrowCut code (whitespace, removing dead code, etc.) to help me see the issue.

I need to track down the data Ron used. Since this is U/S data, I wonder if the fix I put in last week to properly handle images that are not 16bits resolved this issue as well.

Otherwise, it may be what Steve reports in that it is a ROI issue. If an ROI issue, it may be a simple fix (a call to Crop() on the itk::ImageRegion).

Ron, can you check this against a current Slicer?

If the crash occurs, can you create a scene with the volume and gestures so that I can duplicate the crash?
