I've noticed this too, but it happens on different windows at different times. I believe it's an issue with Fitting the slice to the volume during load but I haven't looked in detail.

I cannot reproduce this on Windows debug build.

Ron and Steve, does it happen always for all volumes? Did it start happening recently? Any other specifics how to reproduce?

You could use dropbox rons examples AAA.. IM....nrrd as an example data set.

I do not know if it is exclusive, but it does happen with CT data.
