Summary0000189: problems with saving and restoring scene
Description

This report from Ron:
I added two scene saves to the standard Atlas scene.

  1. How do I delete a saved scene?
  2. The default name that pops up is called Scenesnapshot1 I want my views to be called something else, e.g. Ronsview1. It should accept what I give it as the default for this session.
  3. so I manually turned off all the extraneous stuff and created a particular view. I gave it the name View1, scenesave turned that into View1_1. View2 turned into View2_1. View1 existed. I tried to overwrite it. It should have asked me do you want to overwrite, and if I confirm, that is what should have happened.
  4. I restore View2_1 and then restore View 1. The second one takes an eternity. I am getting a message in the lower left that says:
Culling any old label map annotations. The log viewer shows a bunch of error messages such as:
    ERROR: In /home/hayes/Slicer3-release-gbt/Slicer3/Libs/MRML/vtkMRMLVolumeArchetypeStorageNode.cxx, line 139
vtkMRMLVolumeArchetypeStorageNode (0x9f2ecd0): Reference node is not a vtkMRMLVolumeNode

A bug found by Florin: scene names with amersands in them don't load, as they break the XML parser.

We should think about characters like & in the Name or Description fields to see if they will break the parser. If so we should come up with a general solution.

I think all those issues have been addressed.
