Summary0001851: Few fonts available. Impaired readability
Description

In the application settings very few fonts are available, the usual ones I have used before are not listed. The python interactor is hardly readable.

Additional Information

-OS: Ubuntu 11.10
-Qt: As in http://www.slicer.org/slicerWiki/index.php/Documentation/4.0/Developers/Build_Instructions/Prerequisites/Qt
-Version 4.7.4(64) compiled version, according to above URL
-Used configure command echo yes | ./configure -prefix ../../Qt-build -debug-and-release -opensource -no-qt3support -webkit -arch x86_64

There are multiple issues in this report, let me split in 3 items:
1) not enough fonts
2) fonts hardly readable
3) need to change python console fonts

1) should be fixed by installing fontconfig (see item 2)

2) Please install the following packages and recompile Qt:
sudo apt-get install libfontconfig-dev
sudo apt-get install libxrender-dev

3) Addressed by issue 0001829
