I don't think it's a bug. The module says "tubes" and the display says "lines visible, tubes invisible", who is right? If we always use the display setting, then how to deal with the display setting "lines visible, tubes visible"?

I didn't see that menu - so I thought it was a bug. But it's definitely a logical issue that should be sorted out.

1) One possibility would be to warn the user if the display node has a different setting than the fiducial seeding module is set to; then it could offer to use one or the other.

2) Another option is to remove the option from the fiducial seeding and replace it with an instance of the fiber bundle display options widget.

3) Another option would be to remove this menu and option altogether so there is only one place to change fiber bundle display properties - the fiducial seeding module could have a button that takes you directly to the fiber bundle module with the current fiber bundle selected

4) Another would be to implement the Edit Properties... menu item in slicer4 to work like the one in slicer3, so that users could get to the right module in a consistent way throughout the program.

Long term I would like to see option 4. Nearer term I think option 3 is okay.

Realistically this bug is lower priority than other outstanding issues (like, annotations) so it could stay as-is for now I would say.

I agree with Steve (Pieper). I think that option 2) would be great (specially if the instance is on a collapsed widget), to reduce the amount of module switching while working. In any case option (4) is a good one to have implemented for slicer in general.

In any case, I agree that it is a low priority one.

Option 2) stills leave the question of how fibers are created initially, as tubes or lines. Perhaps in the module it should say "Create initially as: Lines/Tubes" and this setting should be only applied to a newly created tracts?

That would work for me - it's the simplest too.
