Description

Slicer4 crashes with the following error on SPL machines:

It happens on fc13 machines with the nvidia driver version listed on the page. If an older nvidia driver is used (like on Nicole's), the error does not appear.

Nicole found out that the issue was a release/debug mode problem of the Qt build in connection with Slicer4.

The system Qt is built in release mode and Slicer will only work if it is built in release mode too.

If one needs a debug build of Slicer4 on a SPL machine, it is required to use a separate debug build of Qt which can be downloaded.

I downloaded the release nightly Slicer-4.1.0-2012-05-08-linux-amd64.tar.gz:
my workstation (no dev paths set): starts
on b2_d4_1: it starts
on b2_d4_2: it starts

And then I did a make package on my own dev debug version Slicer-4.1.0-2012-05-09-linux-amd64.tar.gz:

I tried it on b2-t74-1 and b2-t74-3 (couldn't find -2) and both debug and release builds started up.
I also started Slicer from my own build directory, no problems there.
