For comparison I uploaded two images from slicer3 -- note that the screen space size of the fiducials is constant even when zooming in and out. I don't think we should change this behavior, since the goal is to be able to easily see and manipulate the annotations. If they get very small when you zoom out they will be impossible to pick and move.

Maybe the difference is the change from starburst to spheres that makes the slicer4 fiducials seem overly large when the slice view is zoomed out.

Since this is a change from Slicer3 behaviour, it becomes a feature request here, and will get re-targetted past the Sept 1 code freeze

Note also that in the current slicer the fiducial size scales as the size of the on screen widget changes size. You can see this easily by placing a fiducial in conventional view and then switching to Red slice only mode and seeing that the fiducial is unusually large. Similarly if you drag the sash divider in conventional mode and make the slice views small the fiducial becomes unreadably small.

What is should be doing is staying at the same size in screen pixel space, like in slicer3.

The current behavior is reasonable to me - the size of a fiducial remains fixed in actual screen pixel space. this means that you can always see the fiducial even if zoomed out, and that it doesn't become huge when you zoom in.
