Summary0004642: Fix or remove support for auto-update of extension
Description

Possible approaches:

  • (1) address comment https://issues.slicer.org/view.php?id=4550#c16124 so that extension can effectively be automatically installed at startup, and fix support for "Install Previous extensions without request"
  • (2) Improve approach (1) so that extension are not installed during the "qSlicerMainWindow::showEvent()" but are instead downloaded in the background using thread.
  • (3) completely remove the feature and expect the user to explicitly install extension
