Summary0003687: Update Slicer Welcome module for 4.4 release
Description

From 0003504:

Loading and Saving tab

  • 'File->LoadScene', 'File->ImportScene', 'File->AddVolume', 'Load or Import Scenes or Data', 'Load Any' and 'File->Slicer Data Bundle' do not exist in Slicer4.3.1
  • the description of 'File->DICOM' is missing
  • It would be nice to have a description of the mrb files just below the description of MRML

Display tab:
-the Conventional Quantitative and Four-Up Quantitative icons are missing

Documentation and Tutorials tab:
-the link to the Slicer Training page is missing

From 0003105:

Many of the descriptions on the welcome module are out of date. This should be updated before the next release. Perhaps just "onboarding" the corresponding wiki documentation pages so that they are available when the user is off-line?

  1. Add a button shortcut to the extension manager
  2. load and save: drag and drop for load, single location save, mrb, dicom widget
  3. update of keyboard shortcuts
  4. there is no pointer to the tutorial pages
  5. We should add a link for feature requests and bug reports. We should explain that after filing a bug, an email with a link should be sent to Ron

Closing this issue because it is too general. Instead more specific issues capturing each problems have been created. It will allow to have more concise patches and facilitate the review process.

  • Update related to "Load&Save" panel now captured by 0003836

  • Update to "Display tab" panel now captured by 0003838

  • Update to "Documentation and Tutorials" panel now captured by 0003832
