Summary | 0003308: Features and consistent behavior of loading data
Description | Currently Slicer has 2 extremely valuable features allowing to load the data from command line and using drag-and-drop. But they can be made even better. With loading from the command line, there is no prompt about how to load a dataset, so for example if I have a label volume, I need to manually mark it as a label after loading using Volumes module. With drag-and-drop, there is always a prompt, which in a situation when I need to quickly see the image adds a delay. It would be great to have a setting that would control in which situations the user should be prompted about how the dataset being loaded should be interpreted (when "Add data" dialog should pop up).
