That's a great idea. The Virtual Soldier data is large and organized a
bit differently. I would leave that one off.

But the others worked great in Slicer and even I could generate Volume
Renderings easily.

I'm digging up a few more datasets. I now I have one that Ron did
that is segment organs in the abdomen. I also have the Virtual; Grog
that is segmented MR. I just need to convert these guys to dicom.

It's great that Terry Yoo made this site available at NLM. Some of
these data only existed on storage in my house.

There are also a number of datasets I can't find. Like an IBM
selectric typewriter ball, a Calloway driver, a guinea pig embryo, bat
brain, a kiwi. I probably had them stored on some archaic tapes and
they were destroyed when I left GE.

I'd also like to request a paired grey scale and label map segmentation for easier testing of the model maker and other modules that might need label maps as input. Maybe one of the atlases?

Waiting we address this issue, I would recommend you to add more example to the SampleData module. In the tooltip, mention the name of the module associated with the sample data you are uploading.

When doing so, upload the testing data on midas in the folder matching the module name. See http://www.slicer.org/slicerWiki/index.php/Documentation/Nightly/Developers/Tutorials/UploadTestData

This will provide a good first use case to start with when we will be generalizing the sample data concept.
