Summary0002096: transform node disappears when volume is dropped inside
Description

When generating a linear transform via the BRAINS (or Affine) registration module, and then in the Data module trying to drop an image volume inside the new transform, the transform node and volume disappear. They reappear after a toggle of the "Scene Model" menu, i.e. switching from "Transform" to "Displayable" and back.

This does not seem to happen for a transform that is generated in the Data module via Insert Transform.

To reproduce: import 2 volumes, run a quick registration between them with a transform output, then drag moving volume into the newly created transform node.

Additional Information

run on Mac OS 10.7.4

There seems to be quite general erratic behavior in refreshing the MRML view when nesting nodes inside transforms. I've also observed not being able to move a node back outside once dragged inside.

You can see the behavior in this screen cat movie:
http://na-mic.org/Wiki/images/e/ec/RegLib_C04_Register_XformHierarchy.mov
A refresh will fix the display: e.g. by selecting "Displayable" from the "Scene Model" menu below the MRLM tree and then switching back to Transform.

I believe r20604 fixed the issue, do you confirm the issue is no longer in trunk ?

Using 4.1.0-2012-08-22 r20830:
some of it resolved, but some is still there. Dragging volume nodes in and out of a transform (esp. module generated, such as BRAINSfit), will sometimes duplicate the node entry which will persist until the tree is refreshed (e.g. by toggle the "Scene Model" menu to "Displayable" and back to "Transform"
