Summary0001763: Slide down menu to select background image and foreground image appears on top of other windows
Description

If a window is on top of Slicer4's window, the menu to select the background and the foreground image normally disappears. However, if the cursor of the mouse hovers over the pin icon, the slide down menu appears on top of the other application's window. If the menu is set as "always visible", it will stay on top of the other application's window even when the latest is moved.

I think the behavior has changed: I can't reproduce this anymore. Instead, the SVC window now is forced closed! That happens if you just drag another window onto the 3D Slicer window.

Actually, I still have very strange behaviors with this menu (Slicer compiled at r23045 on Tar Heel Linux). If I pin the drop-down menu:
-if then I select another window, the menu disappears. If I select Slicer again, the menu only reappears if I hover my mouse of the pin icon.
-if I change virtual desktop, the behavior is kind of erratic. The drop-down menu disappears when I switch desktop, but does not reappear when I come back to my desktop with Slicer on it. If I hover my mouse over the pin icon, the drop-down menu is drawn again, but if I mouse my mouse away, it sometimes disappears again, even though the drop-down menu is still pinned.

There was always a problem when changing virtual desktop before, but now the behavior seems to be more erratic. My window manager is gnome.
